   Czech-based Zentiva pharmaceuticals company posted some EUR 62 million in 9-months sales on the Romanian market, an 11-fold increase as compared to the similar period of last year. Yet, last year's value does not include the Bucharest-based Sicomed's turnover, that was taken over last autumn by Zentiva. Over the first 9 months pf 2005, Sicomed had posted a turnover of some EUR 43 million and a net profit of some EUR 9 million. (Romanian Source)

 Bacau-based Comcereal posted RON 3.2 million H1 turnover

   Bacau-based Comcereal is active in cereals retail and services consisting of managing the conditioning, drying and storing cereals and technical plants, having some 80% of the Bacau cereals market. The company posted the following financial indicators for H1 2006: RON 3,225,990 turnover, RON 3,434,025 exploitation revenues, RON 161,912 exploitation loss, RON 129,508 financial loss, RON 3,434,046 total revenues, RON 291,420 net loss, RON 1,464,940 total debts, of which RON 1,436,847 are to pay within less than 1 year.    Medias-based Dafora Turism shareholders approved raising the social capital to RON 100,000, by issuing 293,140 new shares of a RON 0.1 nominal value. Recently, Medias-based Dafora Turism shareholders decided to take an EUR 36.7 million loan. The loan was taken from Banca Anglo-Romana, by placing a mortgage over Sibiu-based Binderbubi hotel.  SC Marmura Bucuresti SA shareholders decided to cut the company's social capital

   SC Marmura Bucuresti SA shareholders decided to cut the company's social capital from RON 4,622,034 to RON 4,621,982.30, annulling 517 shares. The capital cut was applied after discovering that the company's single associate, SC Minola SRL, submitted no document regarding the stake owned in Marmura. Marmura Bucuresti SA owns three quarries and exploitation and processing technology. As of 1990, the company is exporting products in Europe (France, UK, Germany, the Netherlands) and in the US.  Suceava-based Bermas SA's profit hiked with 10%

   Suceava-based Bermas SA's 9-months profit stands at RON 4.5 million, 10% up as compared to the similar period of 2005. The profit hike came on the background of total revenues going 0.9% up (from RON 23.2 million on the first 9 months of 2005 to RON 23.4 million through January-September 2006) and of total expenses dropping by 1.69% (from RON 18.4 million on September 30 2005 to RON 18.1 million in the similar period of 2006).   The activity in the processing industry, retail and services will go up in Q4 2006, while the activity in constructions will drop, as compared to the 3 previous quarters, estimate commercial companies' managers. They are also expecting prices to hike in all of these fields. According to the managers' estimations, through October-December, the positive trend will be maintained both in the production volume of the processing industry (conjectural surplus of 15%) and in the stock of contracts and demands (+11%).  AOAR criticizes NRANGS' decision to raise natural gas prices


   The Association of Businessmen from Romania (AOAR) expresses its complete disagreement to the decision made by the National Regulatory Authority in the Natural Gas Sector (NRANGS), of raising natural gas prices for the population by over 8% in November. AOAR mentions the fact that, this way, the only state authority designated to protect the consumer's interest is playing the game of private companies, for which it facilitates incorrect profits, under the circumstances in which the natural gas delivery prices did not change and no upgrading or expanding investments were made in the gas supplying system.  Martifer builds Romania-based refinery specialized in biodiesel from vegetable oil


   The banking consortium made up of BRD-Groupe Societe Generale and Portugal-based Calxa Geral de Depositors signed a loan contract with Martifer Group, represented by Agromart Energy SRL and Biomart Energy SRL, in order to finance the bio-diesel production project developed by the Portuguese group in Romania.   Craiova and Iasi draw EUR 140 million investments in two shopping centers

  Two Greek-owned companies, Epsilon and Omilos, will invest 140 million euros over the following years, to build two shopping centers in Craiova and lasi, that will add more than 100,000 square meters to the retail space in the two cities. Craiova Mall mainly targets the 100,000 inhabitants of the districts near Romanescu Park. Era Park shopping center, based in lasi, will be placed at the entrance to the city and will stretch on 35 hectares. The total investment in this center, put at 100 million euros, is made by the Greek company Omilos, that also owns a Praktiker store in Craiova. (English Source)
