Bank changed the offers for the loans in RON with real estate guaranty
Raiffeisen Bank increased the maximum period of repayment for
the loans in RON with real estate guaranty and decreased the interest rate applied
at the mortgage loans, according to a communicate issued by the bank. The bank
changed the procedures for the natural persons, by simplifying the paperwork
needed and the demanded conditions.

Romania Bank has a new central headquarter
UniCredit Romania Bank began the year 2006 in a new central headquarter,
located in the Northern part of Bucharest. UniCredit Romania is a commercial
bank with a foreign shareholder, that operates on the Romanian Market beginning
with 1997. The equity of UniCredit Romania is now over 210 millions RON, the
bank owns 48 affiliations.
The
investment project in agriculture, for the period 2006-2009, risk to not
be realized
On January 25th 2006, Ilie Van, the president of the Birds Raisers
Union from Romania (UCPR), declared that the investment project in agriculture,
for the period 2006-2009, valuing EUR 170, risk to not be realized. Van declared
that the problems from this domain are caused by the bird flu apparition and
also by the imports that enter in the country at smaller prices than the ones
from the world markets. The UCPR president declared that, in 2006, the bird meat
products " will have an inferior quality, at luxurious prices ''.

2006, Romania will register an economical increment of 4.4%
According to the forecasts of the Agency of Evaluation Coface from
France, " at the end of 2006 '', Romania will register an economical increment
of 4.4%, comparing with the 4.6% increment, in 2005. The agency forecasts that
the inflation rate will decrease from 8.8% at 7.1%. The authorities of resort
from Romania didn't communicate the data regarding the economical increment from
2005.

systems for the cars
The affiliation from Iasi of Siemens will begin the production
of electronic systems for the cars, the unit will have, " in a first stage
'', 100 employees. The Siemens affiliation will function i the Technological
Park " Tehnopolis ''. Lucian Flasier, the president of the County Council
Iasi, declared that the German company bought 2,000 square meters form
the active surface of the Park.

for lighting apparatus in Curtici
The company with Austrian capital " International Lighting Technologies
'', part of " Zumtobel '' group, will produce components for lighting apparatus
in Curtici. The company's representatives forecast that the production building,
that will measure 1.5 hectares, will be finished " until September ''. The total
number of working places that will be created will be " approximatively 300 ''.

Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries bought the Naval Building Yard Mangalia
The stock company SC Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries was elected
as owner of the Naval Building Yard Mangalia, after the auction which took place
at the Office of State and Private Competitors in Industry. DMHI was the only
company that participated at the auction and offered 13,190,025 RON.
France-based Bouygues plans to develop a series of infrastructure
projects in Romania: Comarnic-Brasov highway, auto-routes around Bucharest and
Ploiesti, several industrial parks. Bouygues registers an annual turnover of
more than EUR 22 billion and operates on civil and industrial sectors, media,
real estate and telecommunications.
The
Government approved the laws regarding the health reform
On January 26th, the Government approved the laws regarding the health
reform. Regarding the new regulations, there is the civil responsibility the
medical personnel and the medical, sanitary and pharmaceutical products providers
will have. According to the new regulations, " the tobacco and the alcohol will
have supplementer taxes '' and beginning with 2007, the tobacco publicity will
be taxed. Also, the salary of the medical personnel will mark up with 5%, starting
with February and with 6 percent, starting with October.

Macovei
According " to certain sources form PD '', the minister of justice,
Monica Macovei, will participate at a meeting organized by the " PD management
'', in order to give informations about the meeting she had with Dinu Patriciu,
in the office of the prime-minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu, in June 2005. Dinu
Patriciu was investigated by the Prosecutors Office " during that time ''. On
January 25th, Victor Preda, the vice-president of PD, declared that in his opinion
PD " has nothing to reproach to the Minister of Justice ''.
