Societe Generale Asset Management - BRD has launched, on 16
January 2006, the opened fund of average-risk investments Concerto, the first
diverse fund administrated by the company. The Concerto fund has am equilibrated
strategy of placement, the stocks are invested by different types of instruments:
monetary instruments, obligations and shares at BVB. The new fund of investments
offer the possibility of obtaining gainings, in the condition of an average risk.
Piraeus Bank continues its plan of developing on the retail
banking segment, through the opening of two new affiliations in Bucharest,
in Aviatei and Giurgiului. Piraeus Bank Romania is part of the financial
group Piraeus Group, which represents the most dynamic financial organizations
from Greece. In Romania, until the end of the year, the bank will operate
a network of 30 affiliations.
Bank Austria Creditanstalt (BA-CA) named the future members of the
executive management which will result once with the merge of the Romanian subsidiaries
from Romania - HVB Bank and Tiriac Bank, process that will be finished in the
first half of the year. The new team will have 5 members, that will be approved
by the Romanian authorities.
The
privatization contract of BCR will be published
The privatization committee of BCR received, after the demands from
28 December 2005 and 5 January 2006, the agreement of the buyer for the publication
of the privatization contract. This will be published on the AVAS web page.Erste
Bank became the new owner of BCR after buying 61.88% of the shares, at a price
of EUR 7.65 per stock. The total price for the 490,399,321 stocks is over EUR
3.75 billions.
The new commercial gallery, placed in Crangasi, an investment
of EUR two millions, will enrich, beginning with February 2006, the retail
market of the Bucharest, declared Costel Alecu, manager at accommodation
company Regatta. Grant Shopping Center will bring to the area Crangasi
- Giulesti - Regie multiple solutions for shopping. The Romanian investment
needed approximatively EUR two millions. The owners of this center have
a rich experience on the retail market, that helped them to identify the
area that needs the developing of such project, declared Costel Alecu.
MMGA
develops an investment project valuing EUR 1.441 billions
Beginning with 2006, Romania will benefit from the biggest project
of environment protection, declared the minister of the environment, Sulfina
Barbu. This project is the result of the approving came from the minister of
finance for the identification and the attraction of financial resources valuing
EUR 1.441 billions, elongated for the period 2006-2009 and BIRD will give a loan
of EUR 191 millions, for financing some projects.
The Romanian Government adopted, recently, the new law project through
which the persons with medium handicap will receive from the Government a personal
complementary budget of 30 RON. This could reach to 80 RON and represents the
value of an existent facility, like the monthly ticket radio/TV, the phone ticket
and other utilities.
PNL
- PD commission to eliminate the parliamentary favors
The PNL - PD alliance named a committee which will eliminate all
the favors stipulated in the project of the parliament. " We are decided to eliminate
also the work pension. Regarding the passports, there will be an evaluation,
as it is the the European level. In my opinion, these should neither exist '',
declared the president of PD, Emil Boc. The committee has a term of ten days
to establish a new form of the parliamentary status.
The
modification of the law regarding the circulation from abroad in public
debate
The minister of administration launched as public debate a modification
project of the law 248/2005 regarding the free circulation of the Romanian citizen
abroad, which include among other, measure that anticipate the biometric passports.
The
legislation regarding the working force placement could be changed
The legislation regarding the working force placement could be changed,
until the end of March, declared the manager of OMFM, Aurel Teodorescu. The activity
of these companies is regulated by the law 165/2000 regarding the protection
of the citizens that work abroad, that according to the opinion of the manager
of OMFM represented a legal environment. OMFM had a range of proposals to the
minister of labor, who will decide if these will be transformed in a new normative
act.
Adrian
Nastase quit from the executive presidency of PSD
Monday, 16 January, the executive president of PSD, Adrian Nastase
announced in a press conference, that he decided to quit. He mentioned that this
situation will last until the judiciary aspects of his wife heritage of one million
dollars. Dan Mircea Popescu will be in charge with the activity of the PSD departments,
during the self-suspension.
Monday, 16 January, was approved the demand of the general prosecutor
of Romania to investigate the fortune of Dan Ioan Popescu, concluding that the
minister and his wife can't justify a range of goods gained between 2000 - 2004.
The file is about to be resolved by the High Court of Justice (ICCJ).
