  BRD launches the E-Commerce BRD service

   BRD launches the E-Commerce BRD service, which is addressed to the merchants, the utilities providers and to the authorities from Romania that have web sites. The payment for the products or services acquired from the site could be payed with VISA or MasterCard cards. The redactor mentions that the main advantage for the merchants is the possibility of developing their business by using a new market, in completely safety.

 Alpha Bank Romania will decrease the interest rates for personal needs in RON

   Beginning with February 1st, Alpha Bank Romania will decrease up to 13% the interest rates for personal needs in RON - Alpha 4ALL -, depending on the period and on the sum, for sums up to EUR 10,000 or for the equivalent in RON or dollars.

 BCR created the tax for the inactive accounts management

  BCR created the tax for the inactive accounts management. So, the clients that don't activate their accounts for three months will pay an account management tax of 15 euros. The tax is applied only for those who have surface accounts.

 Raiffeisen Bank decreased the interest rate applied to the mortgage loans

  Raiffeisen Bank increased the maximum period of real estate mortgage loan repayment in RON and decreased the interest rate applied to the mortgage loans. At the loans in RON for personal needs not called, with real estate guaranty, the interest is 12.9% per year, and the annual real interest, for 24 months, is up to 14.05%. The maximum sum is no more limited and the longest period accepted was increased from 15 at 20 years.

 Volksbank decreased the interests for the real estate loans

  Volksbank decreased the interests for the real estate loans and for the loans for personal needs and for the auto loans with 0.5%. Raiffeisen, Alpha Bank and HVB Bank " relaxed the loaning conditions ''. With this measures is trying to decrease the supplementer costs caused by the increment of the minimum currency reserves rate, imposed by BNR.

  The Executive approved the technical and the economical indicators for the section Cernavoda-Constanta from the highway Bucharest-Constanta, situated on the European route IV. The project will be financed from an external loan given by the European Investment Bank and from the budget of the minister of transportation, construction and tourism.

   The Government established the base of the internal public loaning at 9,600 millions RON and also the external public loaning at EUR 4,300, for 2006. The unused sum from one type of public loaning can be used for increasing the other.

   The Government established that the monitored state companies will lay off 25,717 employees, in 2006. The majority of the personnel reductions will be made by firings. The government decided, that, in 2006, the salary fund of these companies doesn't have to exceed a maximum limit of 4.55 billions Lei.

   loan Codrut Seres, the minister of economy and commerce (MEC), declared that MEC will support the regional development project Luna Ses-Negresti-Oas, project sponsored from PHARE and local funds. The project aims the public investment attraction in order to realize some infrastructure workings that will encourage the North - West area development.

 The companies Calsonic Kansei Japan, Egger Austria and Moser Baer India invest on the Romanian market

  The representative of the Japanese company Calsonic Kansei announced that they want to invest EUR 100 millions for the construction of a factory producing auto components in the industrial park from Ploiesti. Egger Austria wants to invest EUR 210 millions in a factory of wood processing from Suceava. The Indian company Moser Baer intentions to allocate EUR 300 millions in a factory of CDs from the Giurgiu county. The Romanian laws regarding the investments do not allow individual help from the state for these companies.

 The GTC group signed a partnership agreement in order to enter on the Romanian real estate market

  The GTC group, which wants to invest 200 millions dollars in the Romanian real estate market, signed a partnership agreement with Aura Investments Ltd from Israel. The partnership regards the creation of a mixed company, designated to manage projects on the Romanian market. The mixed market will build in Romania a network of 30 commercial centers.

   Facilities given to the investors from the areas with high unemployment

  According to the proposals of the Romanian Agency for Foreign Investments (ARIS) in order to complete the project regarding " The Investment Law '', the help from the state will be offered to the investors that will have three main purposes: the regional development, the jobs creation in the areas with high unemployment and the stimulation of the advanced technological infusion. Among the facilities there is also the subvention for lands and buildings.

   The Government changed the law regarding the written culture promotion

  The Government changed the law regarding the written culture promotion. The law obligates the local authorities to include in their budgets funds for sponsoring the publications, the translations, the book acquirement and the season tickets at magazines for the public libraries, the scholarships. Also, the decision introduces the National program for the book acquiring and for the magazines season tickets, in order to upgrade the public libraries collections.

  On January 30th, Cristian Diaconescu, the spokesmen of PSD, declared that " PSD demands the Tariceanu Government to quit ''. Diaconescu mentioned that the Government " lost its credibility '', because of " the corruption at high levels ''. Also, the spokesman declared that, among the proposals for the PSD status modification, is the obligation that those members that " have justice problems '' must self-suspend from the party and from the public functions.
