Doina Ciomag start working with
Foreign Investors Council even before the Council
to be legally registered in 1997.
Her previous professional career was linked
to the consultancy services.
For five years (1991-1995) she took the position
of Senior Consultant with the German management
consulting firm Roland Berger & Partner,
the largest top management consultancy of European
origin and among the top ten worldwide.
The most important projects performed during
that period were: the establishment of the State
Ownership Fund (SOF) and the five Private Ownership
Funds (POFs) as responsible for the Oltenia
POF; company’s privativation e.g. garments
company in Focsani, detergent factory in Timisoara,
evaluation of Romanian companies in the view
of acquisition by foreign investors, such as
sweets producer in Brasov, hotel complex in
Mamaia; company diagnosis for identification
of the restructuring needs for Anticoroziv,
Romacril, Metadet and Hercules.
She had two short assignments in 1996 with Larive
as responsible for the Investment Fund Eurobalance
and with Deloitte&Touche as responsible
for the companies’ valuation projects.
Her background
is in economics, she graduated the Trade faculty
of the Academy for Economics and she has a Master
in Business Administration with Washington University.
