PAPASTRATOS
is a famous trademark in the international cigarette
industry and, especially among the many smokers in
Romania, it does not need any presentation.
In Greece, the Company, which was started in 1931
by the four Papastratos brothers, is one of the three
biggest private companies in terms of its net profits
and the leader of the cigarette manufacturers covering
about 40% of the cigarette consumption.
In August 1999, PAPASTRATOS opened
its own cigarette production facilities, outside Greece,
in Bucharest, operated by PAPASTRATOS ROMANIA
SRL.
The production is targeted
to the Romanian market. The factory is now manufacturing
cigarette brands, property of PAPASTRATOS
Group, such as ASSOS INTERNATIONAL, PAPASTRATOS
SPECIAL, PRESIDENT and ZET.
