CEO and President of the Executive Board of Petrom SA, Member of OMV Group, since June 2006. Besides the functions of Chief Executive Officer and President of the Executive Board, Mrs. Gheorghe is responsible also for Corporate Strategy& Investor Relations, Human Resources, Legal, Corporate Affairs & Compliance, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs and Health/Safety/Environment. Before joining Petrom, Mrs. Gheorghe has been with the EBRD in London for almost 13 years, managing a wide range of international financing transactions in SEE on various industries and working extensively with Romanian companies and Petrom. Mrs. Gheorghe was appointed also as member of the Board of Directors of Petrom, representing EBRD as shareholder, since January 2005 until April 2006. Between 1991 and 1993, Mrs. Gheorghe was Deputy General Manager with the Finance Ministry of Romania, in charge of International Financing Relations Directorate. Mrs. Gheorghe has been actively involved in different associations holding different position as: President for Corporative Governance Institute (IGC); Vice-President for Foreign Investor Council (FIC) and ASPEN Institute and member of World Energy Council (WEC) and Romanian Association for the Club of Rome (ARCoR). The collaboration with FIC started in 2007 when Mrs. Gheorghe was elected as Board Member. In following years she was appointed Vice-president. Mrs. Gheorghe graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies and from the Law Faculty in Bucharest as well as from the Corporate Finance program from London Business School in UK.
