CEO and President of the Executive Board of Petrom SA, Member of OMV Group, since June 2006. Besides the functions of Chief Executive Officer and President of the Executive Board, Mrs. Gheorghe is responsible also for Corporate Strategy& Investor Relations, Human Resources, Legal, Corporate Affairs & Compliance, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs and Health/Safety/Environment. Before joining Petrom, Mrs. Gheorghe has been with the EBRD in London for almost 13 years, managing a wide range of international financing transactions and working extensively with Romanian companies and Petrom. During the period she worked at EBRD, Mrs. Gheorghe has occupied different positions as Senior Banker (South- Eastern Europe and the Caucasus Group), Associate/ Principal Banker (Romania, Ukraine and West Balkans team) as well in the infrastructure banking as Associate Banker (Energy team). She managed successfully a significant portfolio of financial international transactions. Mrs. Gheorghe was appointed also as member of the Board of Directors of Petrom, representing EBRD as shareholder, since January 2005 until April 2006. Between 1991 and 1993, Mrs. Gheorghe was Deputy General Manager with the Finance Ministry of Romania, in charge of International Financial Department. The collaboration with FIC started in 2007 when Mrs. Gheorghe was elected as Board Member. In following year she was appointed Vice-president. She graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies and from the Law Faculty in Bucharest as well as from the Corporate Finance program from London Business School in UK.
