Farrukh is a partner at Deloitte Romania in assurance and advisory services. Starting his career in UK in 1994, he moved on to Deloitte in Singapore before moving to Central and Eastern Europe and based in Romania in late 2001.
As a practitioner working in these different geographies, from a relatively stable economy of UK at the time moving to a fast growing economies of Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and then Romania during and after EU accession, gained a thorough understanding of fundamentals as well as practicalities of business environment and corporate and fiscal legislative framework of these markets. During this period, apart from provision of assurance services, he also lead special transactions such as restructuring exercises during the Asian currency crises while in Singapore to some of the largest privatization transactions in Romania.
Over these years he has served a number of multinational and national large corporations both private and public, within consumer, retail, Technology, Manufacturing, Energy as well as state institutions/companies. For the last three years, he heads the energy and resource practice of Deloitte Balkans with a cross functional team across the Deloitte offices in the region identified as Deloitte Balkans.
