Mrs. Claudia Pendred became the EBRD's Director for Romania in November 2007. Mrs. Pendred has over 17 years of experience in banking throughout Central and Eastern Europe, including in Romania. Prior joining the EBRD, she worked at N.M. Rothschild & Sons, where most recently she was Director of Corporate Finance. In this role, she was responsible for utilities in Central and Eastern Europe and also worked on a variety of projects in other sectors in the region, including the natural resources, infrastructure and telecommunications sectors. Earlier on, Mrs. Pendred worked at J. Henry Schroder Wagg & Co and before that she was with UNICEF and the World Bank. Mrs. Pendred holds an MBA degree from INSEAD Business School, an MA from Harvard University and a BA from the University of Oxford.
